Artist statement
When mooring in Gravenors Bay, on the island of Barbuda, one immediately gets the impression of being in front of an unusual panorama. Beyond the immaculate Caribbean sand, the gaze is captured by Spanish Point, the promontory in front of which the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean meet, and this is clearly visible in the color of the sea that seems divided in half, as formed by two currents different that meet and then merge. The charm is such as to push the visitor to leave out the white beach and walk in the middle of the mangroves along the jagged coast, in order to get close to that tip that exercises a mystical attraction, to be able to admire the show up close.
