Artist statement
This work is part if the ‘imagery’ series. It is named after a 2010 science fiction film about a professional thief who steals information by infiltrating the subconscious of his targets. This multi-layerd painting visualises the narrative into colorfields and shapes. The image on top of the painting visualises the wish and desire to succeed. The white wash below represents the portal to the subconscious. The dark and red colorfields at the bottom visualise the mystery and ignorance whitin.
