About the art
Artist statement
I am greatly inspired by the paintings of Chuta Kimura, hoping one day to visit Clos-Saint-Pierre in France, where he lived for half of his life. "flowers for kimura" was made during a time when I had been particularly focused on Kimura's work.
It's made with beeswax, damar resin, paper towels, and oil paint.
