About the art

Artist statement
I wanted to paint a picture as immersive as what I saw in the natural environment around me. I did not have a photograph – only a memory of the rhythm of shapes and vivid color in swaths. I find great joy and peace in those scenes and that is what I wanted to express in this painting.
