Artist statement
Part of a collection of four works, 'n. 337 – arrangement in monochrome' formalises the organic-looking clusters of loop pins and cable fasteners into a wall-mounted square composition. It is an exploration of how the opaque black and translucent off-white (the natural colour of polypropylene) parts come together to create tonal values and textures.
Note: Though the artwork has a backlight, it is not a light fixture and the light should not be turned on all the time. The artwork can be viewed with and without backlighting
