Artist statement
In 2019 I was invited to create ceramic objects for Denis Villeneuve’s Dune 2021 movie. A limited number of original pieces were made, half of which were hand selected for the set. Radical, worn surfaces, an otherworldly mood; that was my world of Dune.
Some pieces did not make it to the production, and Arrakis, this one-off wheel-thrown sculptural vessel is one of the last ones available.
