Irises

While working on this painting, I was inspired by summer, the first rays of the summer sun, scents filling the entire atmosphere around so that the heart sings. I wanted to convey in the picture such a special state of silence of nature, when even the flight of a bumblebee is heard. Under the gentle warmth of the first summer sun, all living things quiet down, absorbing, being filled with energy for further growth and development. I wanted to embody this feeling in the curves of the iris petals illuminated by the bright sun, accentuated by a dark contrasting background.
Nature is the main source of my inspiration. Creating paintings, i dream of bringing harmony and beauty of nature into your home. Artwork is made in an ancient technique of wet watercolor, which traces its history back to ancient frescoes.
Watercolor painting is done on a sheet of paper moistened on the reverse side and lying on a damp cloth. I use only eco-friendly and renewable materials: 100% cotton watercolor paper and professional watercolor paints. It is painted on textured watercolor paper 300 gr / m2, cotton 100%, medium grain, acid free with professional watercolor paints. All used materials are eco-friendly.
