Artist statement
"Snow blowing through the spruce" is a paintings dedicated to love and remembrance for my mother. She loved watching the snow storms in Colorado blowing the snow through the green spruce trees. It is a delicate, flowing, tender, dramatic painting made with a palette of deep greens, violet, celestial blue, and hints of violet. It has intense fine brushwork reminiscent of snowflakes.
