About the art
Artist statement
The approach in typography is the space between each character. This series Approaches, it's a different way of approaching geometric abstraction. After having followed side roads, this marks my return to the practice of typography. I sometimes add texts, poems*. The series is a continuation of the wall sculptures. It is presented as a logical continuation of previous works. I now use the letters in freedom of combinations to create a new writing made of cutouts, juxtapositions, reliefs and colors.
* Poems appear in French on some of these works.
