About the art
Artist statement
Organic abstract inspired by two of my favourite things in life. When one pours the cream into the coffee, there is that beautiful flowering, which is depicted here, capitalising on the contrast between the rich darkness and creamy white. Taking a coffee is a moment to stop the day and enjoy the luxury of contemplation for me. I use this time to ponder the direction of the pieces I'm working on and to practise stillness.
