About the art
Artist statement
The work “cosmic energy I” consists of 625 handcrafted, natural cubes made from pine root wood, walnut wood, lime and maple.
In a harmonious arrangement, different shades of color and grains create fascinating patterns that unfold from the inside out. The deliberate variation in brightness and material structure creates a visual dynamic that is reminiscent of the currents of cosmic energies.
The composition conveys the feeling of a pulsating center that dissolves towards the outside - an allusion to the movement of the universe and the interaction of order and chaos. The use of wood as an organic material symbolizes the connection between nature and the infinite, making the work both earthbound and transcendental.
“cosmic energy I” invites the viewer to engage with the subtle vibrations of natural materials and discover a meditative depth that oscillates between structure and free flow.
