About the art
Artist statement
This is an edition from the "human flow WALL" series with an edition of 3 pieces.
The works "human flow WALL #4-6" consist of the wood species walnut and mahogany.
Through precise, planned intention, the veneers were connected to each other in such a way that they taper out irregularly towards the bottom, creating a flowing dynamic.
"human flow" was derived from the aphorism of the Greek natural philosopher Heraclitus of Ephesus: "Pantha rhei" - Everything flows.
Just as the water in a stream is always in motion, all things, living beings and phenomena in the world are always changing.
Everything changes and evolves, nothing remains as it is.
The surface of the sculpture is planed and untreated.
The frame is made of limewood and has no background plate.
In addition, the frame was painted in several layers with white acrylic paint.
