'Magdalena's Eyes'
May 2019
Magdalena's Eyes is a mixed media composition on canvas.
This transfer collage, a near exact copy of Andrea Vaccaro's baroque artwork of Saint Mary Magdalene, is finished with oil paint and ballpoint.
Maria Magdalena's blue cloak, white skin and red hair are in great contrast with the dark background.
Over the painting a face is glued, it shows a woman from a vintage magazine for a chocolate bar publicity.
The image is from an authentic sixties magazine.
A tattoo on the shoulder is added as a transfer over the oil paint.
This artwork is signed, varnished and delivered with a certificate of authenticity.
