My painting seeks to explore the millenary science of the meaning of numbers in art. To this end, I propose the representation of a fragmented aesthetic, in which I create a composition of elements from Latin American and Oriental graphic references; from the creation of a series of works in which one can observe and reflect on ancestral codes from a contemporary perspective.
The genesis of this work is linked to the study of evolutive numerology and my constant research into ancestral graphics, together with the language of textile art, which I acquired from my family origin, a textile factory, which has brought me closer to textures, colours, shapes and materials since my childhood.
This work is part of a series of paintings that consist of the elaboration of textile works in which I make and create compositions and images with mineral pigments and rust that I collect from different places in Chile, from where I engrave on the fabric the traces of earth and rust in alchemy with the elements of water, vegetable dyes, embroidery and sewing machine.
