Artist statement
In 2021, this work took part in the IV Ukrainian Contemporary Women’s Art Fest “OUT AND ABOUT” exhibition at the Modern Art Research Institute of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine in Kyiv.
I stay in Kyiv and continue to create art. In the works that I am do now, I depict simple human dreams, how everything will be later, when peace comes.
I believe that with our dreams we materialize the future,
that there is no really defined future, but it will be the way I create it.
When the sirens are wailing, I don't run to the bomb shelter, I keep drawing, it saves me, gives me the strength to resist the destruction.
The real painting looks much better than the photo, which is not able to adequately show the texture and sensations of the live painting. Painting is packed very carefully in cardboard box with layers of bubble wrap and styrofoam to protect it. Feel free to send me a message if you have questions.
