Artist statement
Bamboo Forest, or Arashiyama Bamboo Grove or Sagano Bamboo Forest, is a natural forest of bamboo in Arashiyama, Kyoto, Japan. The forest consists of several pathways for tourists and visitors. Japan is a busy and touristy place to visit, so I made it a priority to get here early and thats exactly what I did. Arriving at 5:30am in the morning thinking I was going to be the first person here I couldn’t believe how many other photographers were already here. Gently I pushed and shoved my way in between the others and into position, I wanted to line up the pathway so that image invites you into the scene.
Offered on Artling is this limited edition number 9/100 printed on archival 330gsm 100% Cotton Rag Paper using world class Epson premium pigment inks ensuring a high standard in colour reproduction and vibrancy and accompanied with a certificate signed by the artist.
