Artist statement
Carpenter Rocks is a small coastal town located 35 kilometres south-west of Mount Gambier in the south-east of South Australia. Photographing the wreck Pisces Star has been a challenge for some time, due to the fact that its so far and out of the way for most people. Having already attempted this shot before I was determined to have another go. Staying in Mount Gambier meant that it was going to be a short 20 minute drive and now I just needed the weather to play along. It had rained most of the night so the morning was looking promising, and indeed it was. This image represents a feeling of calmness right after a storm has passed.
Offered on Artling is this limited edition number 17/200 printed on archival 330gsm 100% Cotton Rag Paper using world class Epson premium pigment inks ensuring a high standard in colour reproduction and vibrancy and accompanied with a certificate signed by the artist.
