About the art
As seen in
Artist statement
As embodiment of the George Bataille’s philosophy on violating borders, on the opposite side of the traditional painting canvas that puts a fence between space and itself, Otto Turker's method banishes the border between artwork and its architecture, its space. Split Canvas has in-between identity which is neither a sculpture nor a painting.
