Artist statement
Oil paint on canvas . Best materials used . I use a hand prepared customised ground that facilitates my fluid and intuitive handling of oil paint , creating suggestive marks and nascent images .
oil on professional quality linen - ships in a tube , there is a generous border of canvas round the image to facilitate easy attachment to a support .This a large scale gestural abstract , the spontaneous , gestural brush strokes cavort playfully over the underlying geometry . The overall palette is in pastel colours punctuated with deeper tones .
