About the art
Artist statement
La cañada del pino or in English "The path by the pine tree". Nature is always my inspiration. The light you see shining through in between the tree trunks when you pass by. The dark forest suddenly is a sea of light if you decide to look on what is hiding behind the most apparent. - This is an interesting way to play with space and to play with light.
I construct my painting in a large number of layers to let the light and the color come from within and to create a very sculptural surface, where the tiny shadows create changes to the color and make the artwork alive.
