Artist statement
In 2019 there was a marked increase in the number of avalanches in the French Alps and, incredibly, scientists confirmed that they were caused by the melting of the ice that held those mighty peaks together! The actual fragility of our world and the extra-ordinary power that water, in all it's forms, has over everything we hold dear is majestic.
This sculpture is made from layers of beautiful, high quality sculpture clays including porcelain. It is fully weatherproof.
