Artist statement
Water of Nature represents the beauty, calmness, and magic of the nature's reflection on the water (the sea or the lake).
For the artist, water is a poetic material capable of transforming, playing with light, dancing with the wind, and changing its textures and colors. Therefore, for her, memories are landscapes made of water, and reflections represent landscapes where she can once again see the image of a feeling.
This piece reduces reality to an emotion through its colors, textures, and the light of its metallic pigments. Sara Sepúlveda's abstract landscapes are poetic places where viewers can build their own memories and feelings.
