Artist statement
Henry Weekes (flute), Matt Shapiro (keys) and Aktino Troubounis (double bass) performing at Honey Lou. Based on digital sketches from the show, which were then collaged before being converted into a physical painting.
The semi-abstract nature of this work shows the deep work into abstract research, combined with detailed figurative body/plants studies. Vibrant bright colours are favoured in this palette, reflecting the artists’s personal relationship with colour.
