About the art
Artist statement
This painting is part of the series 'Reflections', it explores colors, their interrelationship, and their transformative effect on human emotions. Multiple thin layers of paint put on with a lot of thought illustrate calmness and self-love, and inspire us to spend a moment with ourselves. The color palette is inspired by the traditional shades used in Indian homespun textile, taking me back to some great memories growing up.
