About the art
Artist statement
I had all my life a strange attraction to Owls, in my Childhood there was an Owl's nest in front of my room, I used to
bring them carrots and cucumbers till I found out that mice and rats are their gourmet choices. . those nocturnal majestic creatures resemble wisdom and wealth. In this painting, I explore the raw and visceral interplay of materials—acrylic, oil, and tar—on canvas, married in a semi-abstract dance. I aim to evoke the primal connections between Owls and human beings. I use the FLY technique, contrasting the earthy, rich textures and colors with deliberate, yet chaotic strokes. This piece invites contemplation on the resilience and fragility of our environment, embodying a tension that both challenges and comforts the viewer.
