About the art
Artist statement
Relief Printmaking technique. Satoshi was Inspired by his own work KoRo(filter) series. He believes that there is the truth between abstract and non-abstract field which is our world and other side of the world. He creates the gate between onto this printmaking series. He hopes that viewers can feel the other side, where we are coming from and the truth, then they can use that energy into our daily life.
The reason why he chose this relief printmaking technique to experiment different colour and texture. Folded fabrics and textured surface creates unique and mysterious world. He believes these can be various gates for the "other side" of each one of us.
