Artist statement
" 'Diamond and Rust' is a series of works that record some strong moments stored in one’s memory in the course of life. Diamonds represent firmness and eternity, while rust refers to qualitative change and the mark of time.
The creation of this series of works was random and free. I choose regular or irregular pictorial elements to interweave together and meet in random logic. Everything in this process is free. With layers of color overlapping, the superposition of each level is a process of recording. With the accumulation of time, the picture builds up slowly until it finally achieves a balance between the abstract and figurative symbols of the overall composition."
