Artist statement
Riva table lamp is part of the Folcloristica series. A collection inspired by the mood and lifestyle of the Southern Italian villages. Elegant and bold, it becomes a sculptural object. The blue, silvery colours and reflections evoke the waves in the Mediterranean Sea. Fleeting elements are reinterpreted and transferred into a solid and sculptural piece. The simple, cylindrical shape is enriched by original ring handles. This piece has been designed, handcrafted and decorated by the designer in her studio in Rome.
The products might show slight variation compared to the pictures as they are the result of a complex, artisanal process aimed at making every piece truly unique.
