About the art
Artist statement
Inspiration for this piece came from the outdoor spaces of houses found in tropical and exotic jungles on Mexico’s southern coastline. The boldness of the solid Huanacaxtle wood structure is reminiscent of the density of vegetation in that area. The woven wicker back is handmade by artisans in our neighborhood of San Miguel Chapultepec. The selected cushion upholstery offers a pink contrast to the bold lines of the chair and can be changed upon request according to catalogue options. Several colors are available.
In natural materials such as wood, leather and stone tend to have variations in tone and wood grain such variations are not the responsibility of the Comité de Proyectos.
