About the art
As seen in
Artist statement
This Object is completely hollowed through the opening on the top by means of woodturning. It is made of an old apple tree that fell over during a storm, and the wood was already a bit rodden in the heart, making it not so easy to turn on the lathe. It was turned in a wet state, so it had to dry over time to reach its final shape. It was then sanded and oiled to give it a nice contrast for the grain.
