Artist statement
The earth crust is alive and flexible, yet with a strong character. That’s what we wanted to implement into our Crust lamps set. There are three types of them: Thin, Thick, and Flattened. All of them share the same materials and color array. Yet, they are different inside.
Thin is the oldest Crust brother with a passionate copper inside. It looks like a snow mountain coated in the iron sky.
Flattened is the middle Crust brother with a cold silver inside. It looks like a glacier with a crusty volcano surface.
Thick is the youngest Crust brother with a heated bronze inside. It looks like the hot land covered with ice.
