Artist statement
HEX 400 Pedestal Side Table is an expression of functionalism and versatility. Material selection is inspired by the function and started with the following question: how to make one pole stand vertically?
Low-tech principles and ready-to-assemble concepts are the core of our design. We source materials, and labour that are available locally. The design is flexible and can be adapted to geographical or economical context.
HEX 400 Pedestal Side Table is born in the urban context of Bangkok with its scattering local material suppliers, milling machines and metal shops.
Copper version is raw and patina will evolve with time.
The table is made-to-order and customable. Production time is up to 8 weeks.
