Artist statement
This Bark Vase belongs to my FroZen collection that is inspired by Armenian winter landscape and Japanese approach to aesthetics. The pieces' texture and lines reference the surface of winter trees covered with snow.
The work is produced from a combination of wheel-throwing and hand building. Electric-fired earthenware with black & white glazes.
