Artist statement
With the simple image of a low tide and pockets of water trapped amongst the sand , the smoke haze above the water line. I applied solarization (tonal reversal ) to the image which gives it more expressive colors and character. Taken on a late winter afternoon on a beach that exposes a lot of sand at low tide, the smoke haze drifting across the water added more interest to the image.
