Artist statement
After camping the night before near Ørnenipa, I left the camp before dawn. This mountain's summit is 1333 meters high and offers superb views of Gaustatoppen, Tuddal, and Lake Tinnsjön. It was not my first time there. I had been scouting the surrounding mountains for already six months then.
The weather conditions were optimal that morning: no wind, warm, and sunny. After looking for a nice spot, I fell in love with the beauty of those rock formations reflected on a pond. To increase the glare and lightened the reflections, I added a polarizing filter. I shot this zen scene at 5:43 AM.
