Artist statement
This picture is part of VESTLAND OUTDOORS: an ongoing project focused on the nature and urban life of this Norwegian county. I started it in October 2020 and will continue through May 2021.
Vestland is a county located in Western Norway. The city of Bergen, Norway’s second-largest city, is its administrative center and my nowadays home. Bergen is as well Norway’s second-largest port and is one of the most popular cruise destinations in Europe. It’s known as the gateway to the Norwegian Fjords.
I did this photography near the town of Tysse on a sunny morning at the end of the winter.
