Artist statement
After camping the night before near Ørnenipa, I left the camp before dawn. The summit of Ørnenipa is 1333 meters high and offers superb views of Gaustatoppen, Tuddal, and Lake Tinnsjön. It was not my first time there. I had been scouting the surrounding mountains for already six months then.
The weather conditions were optimal that spring morning: no wind, warm light. I shot this tranquil scene at 4:15 AM during the golden hour. I added a polarizing filter to my telephoto lens to increase the glare and lighten the water's reflections.
