Artist statement
I took this picture on a sunny winter afternoon. It was my first time around the Tømmervågen bathing area, a trendy place to enjoy the sunny summer days in Bergen (Norway). The partially frozen surface of the fjord and the water reflections strongly caught my attention.
"Water reflections seen from Tømmervågen" is part of VESTLAND OUTDOORS: aan ongoing project focused on the nature and urban life of this Norwegian county. It started in October 2020. Vestland is a county located in Western Norway. The city of Bergen, Norway’s second-largest city, is its administrative center and my nowadays home. Bergen is as well Norway’s second-largest port and is one of the most popular cruise destinations in Europe. It’s known as the gateway to the Norwegian Fjords.
