What inspires you?
Nature, a sense of discovery, literature.
Describe your creative process.
My research is an on going process around the themes of space, time, memory and the body. I am interested in the intuition x instinct relation and its primitive aspects and expression. Memory for me plays a big role on shaping narratives, either by working with memory material or to work on meditative practices and focus on corporal memory and knowledge. By working with material, my focus is to research notions of self, origin, embodiment, memory and movement.
What are 3 words that best describe your work?
Bodily awareness of space dissolving on a surface.
Who are some artists that have influenced your work?
Helena Almeida, Donna Huanca, Adriana Varejão, Clarice Lispector.
What is the most important tool when creating your work?
My intuition and my senses
Where do you go for inspiration?
To my studio, to nature, yoga, to books, for talks with friends.
