She the Goddess resides. ⠀

"This piece was done as a way of understanding the faceted realms of womanhood, and taking on Black as a Colour that is perceived as less beautiful. I was inspired by the stories of Kali, the Goddess. The Other half of Shiva. The goddess that makes his powers valid, and yet always portrayed as this unsightly being. I was moved by this connotation that I wanted to paint Her, in a softer delicate light."⠀ Kamilka Perera
