Falling or Floating

High places evoke a lot of anxiety in me, I thought of making this painting to deal in a way with this issue after I took a trip with a cable car which was very frightening. When I reached the top I took some minutes to get myself together and I took a picture of the landscape part of this painting, the way back down was already easier. Being exposed to something that makes me anxious helped me a lot, the intent is to bring awareness and acknowledgement of these issues and to the fact that there is always a solution to the problem. I added floating to the title because someone saw the character as floating which opened my mind to the possibility that everyone will bring their own experience to the image and will see it in various ways, and what someone sees as negative another may find a positive side.

The painting is mounted on a wooden support, painted black on the sides and signed on the back.
