What inspires you?

During my academic training in architecture, I have always admired architects and artists whose works express a certain edge and simplicity. The design world provides a wealth of visual inspiration that allows me to see things not for what they are, but rather, for what they can become.

Describe your creative process.

I have a selfish desire to unify elements of design and art to create minimalist pieces that embody a strong, but silent, presence in contemporary form. My creativity is fueled by the challenge to design furniture with lines that elicit emotions from the viewer.

Unique, contemporary, sculptural.

Who are some artists that have influenced your work?

Frank Gehry, Santiago Calatrava , John Pawson and Marcio Kogan; artists such as Maya Lin, Rodin, Pollock and Rothko.

What is the most important tool when creating your work?

A balance of timeless elements rooted in art, architecture, and fashion.

What is the best piece of advice you have been given?

A person is not represented by the items they own, but rather by the beautiful grace of what they hold.
