Artist statement
Iceland is a pioneering country in geothermal energy production. For obvious reasons, in multiple places ground water gets heated up to a boiling point and escapes to the surface. In other cases, a drill hole is made to tap into this energy source. On a night when Aurora is dancing in the sky, these drill holes can give a feeling you're on some alien planet, trying to survive in a barren landscape.
