Artist statement
A collection of vintage comic segments arranged on canvas with a painted wooden circle. The work is mounted behind conservation glass within a dark brown, wooden frame.
Using two identical and original copies of an Italian Disney comic from 1973, small sections have been cut from the pages and laid out to form a vibrant pattern housed within a strong geometric shape.
The use of vintage comics as a source material evokes a sense of nostalgia.
Listed size includes the frame.
