Artist statement
Colorfieldpainting - Blue - Pink - Orange - Intensity | this series is inspired by the colorful works of a Rupprecht Geiger- they live and pulsate with the pure power of colour. The contrast between ultramarine and orange, strengthened by the smoldering pink is a real joy that we have more than needed in this strange Corona time. As a meditation image, it is best used on a cloudy day. Ultramarine as a color has accompanied me since my studies, when the powerful work of Yves Klein penetrated my consciousness. The use of pure, intense color / or as a pure pigment has amazed and inspired me ever since and is also used here. Inspired by Rupprecht Geiger, Yves Klein and Mark Rothko.
