The Artling Launches Curated Art & Design NFT Collection

The Artling is pleased to announce that we have launched our NFT Marketplace! Our first NFT launch features 10 of our talented artists and their diverse works that you may view here.

What are NFTs?

Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are one-of-a-kind digital artworks that are stored on a blockchain which ensures each piece is unique and identifiable. NFTs can take the form of any digital file, such as images, videos, 3D files, or GIFs.

The Artling's NFT Collection

With our NFT marketplace, we want to look beyond the speculation and build long-term value. Our aim is to enable creators, be it painters, sculptors or photographers, to expand their current practices and create new bodies of work, as well as to bridge the gap between the physical and the digital art and design worlds. For our NFT marketplace, we are using Startrail, a blockchain infrastructure used for issuing and managing NFTs, built by Startbahn, using polygon.

Czech artist Daniel Fiser was born in Prague and is currently based in London. He explores the idea of an abstract skyscape or landscape as a spatial experience conceived and perceived without any reference of scale or direction in his artworks. His body of work seeks to offer a "direct" perception of space, without involving analytical or rational thought processes. Combining traditional hand-drawing techniques with cutting-edge digital rendering tools, the resulting pieces are large scale UV ink reliefs and lightboxes and digital high-resolution animated loops.

Founded in 2018 by Irish designer Eimear Ryan, Argot Studio is a creative design studio based in Paris with a focus on the exploration of spaces and the objects that fit within them. Realising these concepts until now via the ‘Phelim series’ of solid wood modular furniture, Eimear principally works with her father who makes the oak pieces by hand in Ireland. Objects include ‘Argot vases’ 3D printed in renewable biomass developed and printed in Paris. Past works include projects in art direction, spacial design & scenography.

Spanis artist Roc Isern is an architect based in Barcelona, who portrays his passion for photography and building design through his artworks. In an architectural diverse city like Barcelona, he captures the beautiful geometric shapes and patterns of the city’s buildings. There is a strong appreciation for the geometry and symmetry of each building, lines and shapes interacting with one another that give immersive depth. In addition, he tries to make effective use of the human form to highlight the sheer scale of each construction. The juxtaposition between person and superstructure provides an interesting perspective and an additional dimension to each image.

Françoise Chadelas is a self-taught and passionate Parisian photographer who spends most of her time behind the lens. She creates works that evoke a certain kind of expectation which prompts viewers to imagine a story, further drawing them into a dreamlike state. For Françoise, photographs are like a tribute to the Earth, a source of contemplation and a means of escape. In her works, she attempts to transmit poetry and the tenderness of nature.

Japanese artist Ataru Kozuru was raised in Boston, USA and lives and works in Fukuoka, Japan. He studied visual art at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and Tufts University receiving a BFA and diploma in studio art.

Andy Yang is a multi-disciplinary artist known for his abstract visual and sound experimentations. The explorations between visual art and music led him to the creation of works under musical stimuli with The Observatory. Anitya 1 (2011) exposes the process of his art-making in full cycle, from creation to destruction at the Earl Lu Gallery of the Institute of Contemporary Art Singapore. And again, for the latest ArtScience Late feature, Ceremony (2019) together with SA TheCollective, the artist celebrated the experiences of human childbirth through an energetic sound performance set against an elaborate visual art installation set. 

Anna Onikiienko is highly inspired by East Asian culture and folk art and creates intuitive works without preliminary sketching. In her works, she uses multiple overlapping layers and elements of collage. Anna utilises a range of media and incorporates a mixed technique in her works, simultaneously layering different materials such as acrylic, oil, oil pastel, watercolour, and ink. Her artworks are filled of irony and humour, and surrealist imagery.

Carlos Blanco Artero was born in Madrid, Spain. His works have developed and transformed over the years from figuration to a more expressive, gestural style. Though he still retains figurative elements in his artworks, his forms have become more abstracted and blurred. He draws much inspiration from the works by George Condo, who was also one of the starting points of his artistic career. Carlos has exhibited at museums, galleries, and institutions in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Hong Kong, Paris, the Philippines,  Zaragoza, Barcelona, and Madrid. His works are in various collections such as the American musician Allen Stone, the philosopher Fernando Savater, Chiu Chien Chang Collection in Taiwan, and Richard Magides who has several of his works in his collections in Singapore and New Zealand. His artworks are also in public and private collections in New York, Japan, Mexico, Los Angeles, Miami, Austria, Madrid, Bilbao, Mallorca, Santander, Australia, Libya, New Zealand, Illinois, Colonia, Malta, Taiwan, Wisconsin, Milan, Monaco, Paris, and London.

Stephen Battle is a contemporary American artist living in Taos, New Mexico. He has an M.F.A. in painting from TCU and teaches college courses. He works in multiple series, all sourced in natural processes and spirituality and each explores its own specific concepts. At the core of Stephen's artworks is an interest is in the relationship between the physical and the metaphysical.  Some of his works investigate each of these independently, while others contrast or merge them. In his artworks, Stephe works towards a unified contemplation of physical and spiritual awareness. 

Member of the Spanish Royal Photographic Society, Madrid-based Vietnamese artist Viet Ha Tran is a fine art photographer and multi-disciplinary artist whose name is officially listed in the art market since 2015 and published in over 130 newspapers and magazines around the world. Viet Ha started her artistic career in 2013 with fine art photography then in 2018 with abstract paintings. Her photographs have been featured on Expansión, El Economista, Vogue Italia, Vanity Fair France, The Times of India, The Hindu, Vietnam News, and Vietnam Television, and were auctioned by Christie’s Hong Kong for charity. Former Director of Admissions for Finance Master Programs at prestigious IE University (Madrid, Spain) during 2009-2020, Viet Ha also worked as Exhibition Manager at IE and Jury Member of IE Foundation Prizes in the Humanities IE University from 2016-2020. She worked in banking, market intelligence, business development, finance education, and government relations in Japan, Singapore, Vietnam and Madrid for over 15 years. In 2020 she left the corporate world to pursue her artistic dreams as a full-time career.
